This agent turns complex engineering diagrams into structured intelligence instead of flat image descriptions. Diagrams combine visual symbols, spatial relationships, and embedded text, and Single Line Diagrams are a clear example: one SLD can show a full substation, with buses, breakers, transformers, relays, and measurement points, each label cross-referencing an external signal sheet or equipment register.

Traditional models treat these diagrams as flat images, miss the relationships between components, and fail to rebuild system-level logic. They also struggle with imbalance, since large symbols such as generators are few while small symbols such as circuit breakers are many. The agent applies multimodal reasoning grounded in domain context, treating each diagram as a semantic document where every element’s meaning depends on its relationships. It continuously reconciles visual data against tabular signal data, equipment registers, and domain conventions.
