This agent helps formulation chemists, process engineers, and R&D scientists design statistically sound experiments without formal DOE expertise. Users describe their objective, factors, ranges or levels, constraints, and run budget in plain language, and the agent recommends the best-fit design method plus an alternative, explains the rationale and trade-offs, and lets the user accept or override it.

It then generates a validated design matrix and runs pre-run statistical diagnostics, including estimability, D-efficiency, VIF and aliasing, and statistical power, flagging weaknesses in plain language before experiments begin. Users review the run sheet and diagnostics interactively and, after confirming, export the design as CSV, XLSX, or JSON. Supported approaches include full and fractional factorial, response-surface, optimal, and mixture designs.
