Text Translation Agent

This agent is the core linguistic engine of PolyLingo, an agentic AI translator that bridges language barriers in real-time communication. After a transcription agent interprets user input, this agent monitors a Pub/Sub topic for incoming text segments and picks them up independently. It processes each segment with the GCP Translation LLM on Vertex AI, analyzing context, meaning, and grammatical structure to produce an accurate, natural-sounding translation in the target language. It then publishes the translated text to a second Pub/Sub topic for vocalization.

Enterprises and content creators who need real-time multilingual communication are the primary users. The agent preserves tone, intent, and domain-specific terminology, which matters in media production, gaming, BPOs, and international collaboration. It can also summarize multilingual threads and generate localized content. It uses the Google Cloud Translation API.
