The MSCI MCP Gateway is a single, OAuth 2.0-secured Model Context Protocol endpoint that lets AI assistants retrieve MSCI data and documentation for an authenticated user. It exposes read-only tools across Index metrics, levels, and performance, Private Capital universe analytics and benchmarking, Real Assets property and fund indices, and Total Plan look-through analytics, plus platform help.
The Gateway authenticates users through MSCI’s identity provider and scopes every tool call to the user’s existing MSCI product subscriptions, so users only see data they are already entitled to. All tools are read-only, and the Gateway performs no state-changing actions. Sustainability and Climate and Analytics capabilities are being added.
